The off-season is here and as gyms and rinks begin to open back up it is more important than ever to make the best of your off-season training! The following video highlights how we progress single-leg exercises in our hockey training programs.
We begin in the most stable position the split squat and work our way towards the most dynamic movement lunges. All of these movements can be used as the main exercise or as an accessory exercise.
Remember that the hockey stride alternates between phases of unilateral (single leg) and bi lateral (two leg) support so it is important to build strength and confidence in both positions!
